Fontaine Molière apartment
PARIS, FRANCE

Cover story for Neptune Papers – Issue 8

The Fontaine Molière apartment, located just steps from the Palais Royal, offers a unique setting in the heart of Paris. Its U-shaped layout creates a house-like atmosphere, where each room fl ows seamlessly into the next.

The architects skillfully reintroduced the soul of the 17th and 18th centuries by preserving the original high ceilings and windows, which lend the space a subtle grandeur. To enhance this authenticity, an antique Versailles parquet floor was laid, along with Burgundy stones that evoke the history and nobility of the location.

Carefully selected woodwork adds a touch of comfort and intimacy while highlighting the apartment’s elegance. In the living room, the subtly revived beams bring a note of character and warmth, perfectly integrated into the overall harmony.

The architects also played with various stones and marbles, creating a rich and refi ned visual contrast that gives each space a unique and timeless dimension.
