In Cap de Nice, facing the sea, the Marinella apartment is a place where all the softness of the south is revealed by mixing noble and natural materials such as raffia, palm wood and Burgundy stone with exceptional furniture, carefully chosen. The 70 m² apartment, bathed in light, is adorned with a cabochon floor in Burgundy stone, which is found throughout the apartment. A large living/dining room is marked by the presence of palm wood, reminiscent of the French decorative arts of the first half of the 20th century, which the owners are very attached to. The Italian-sounding bathroom is in Cipollino marble, reminiscent of the origins of the city of Nice. This rare marble was used by the Romans for their most beautiful temples. The 18th century Carrara marble basin and the 17th century Venetian mirror overhanging it sublimate this Italian spirit. Two full-height pivot doors hidden in the woodwork of the kitchen lead to the bedrooms dressed in raffia, reminiscent of the dolce vita of the Côte d’Azur of the 1950s. The choice of furniture is a mix that oscillates between the decorative arts of the early 20th century, and a few touches of the relics of the great centuries: siren sconces by George Jouve, armchairs by Charlotte Perriand, seats by Carlo Bugatti…
