Richelieu apartment

The Richelieu apartment is a beautiful space of 80 m² crossing between the rue de Montpensier and the rue de Richelieu, located between the Drouot hotel and the garden of the Palais Royal. This adjoining three-room apartment was designed as a playground for the owner, a young collector with a passion for neoclassicism and modernity. The living room was intended to be light and bright. The library and the late 17th century Aubusson tapestry are the two most present elements. The dining room has been designed in a neo-classical style, with its custom-made Ebur table and chairs resulting from the collaboration between Pierre Augustin Rose and the Chenel gallery. In the bedroom, a mahogany and parchment bed from the 1940s is surrounded by columns and ancient Roman capitals and a bust of Marcus Aurelius. In the office, a parchment table with rope base and ceramic wall lamp and jute rope signed Ebur contrast with a pair of Empire period seats upholstered in green silk, as well as an Italian orientalist chair signed by Carlo Bugatti.
